Denver is FILLED with so many gorgeous engagement photo locations. I’ve compiled a list of my top 10 favorite engagement session spots near Denver. The best part, they’re all 1 hour or less away from Denver! I absolutely love shooting engagement sessions for so many reasons. It’s a great way for my clients and me to get to know each other before their big day. It’s also a great way to get more comfortable in front of the camera. And, you already have a lot to focus on during your wedding day, so feeling more confident by getting a trial run in front of the camera beforehand is REALLY an amazing idea! My Favorite Denver Engagement Photo Locations

Boulder Mountains

Boulder is one of my favorite locations near Denver for an engagement session. The views are unbeatable and it is only about a 45 minute ride! The views make the best backdrops for your romantic engagement photos that will be PERFECT for your save the dates!

Red Rocks Park in Morrison, Colorado

A 24 minute ride from Denver, how could you beat that?! An easy ride and great views. You get stunning views without having to drive deep into the Colorado mountains. Plus, we can walk around the iconic outdoor concert venue. Talk about a win, win am I right??!

Golden Gate Canyon State Park

This location is stunning, especially in the fall time. There are tons of Aspen trees here which makes for beautiful golden colors!! SO gorgeous! At about a 50-minute drive from Denver, they even allow dogs so your pup can join to make your day even more personal! Plus, they even have a beautiful small lake that allows for beautiful reflections and a variety of engagement photo locations!!

Mount Falcon West in Indian Hills

Only a half-hour drive from Denver! This location makes for the perfect sunset location. With the rolling hills and the endless forest, you can’t beat this view! Plus, it’s gorgeous during winter and all other seasons! To top it off, you can even bring your pup too!

Mount Falcon East in Morrison

On the south side of the Red Rocks, these views are absolutely stunning. You can even get views of the Red Rocks Amphitheater in the background of your photos. It’s a quick 35-minute drive from Denver which means it’s central but has a middle-of-nowhere feeling. Some of my favorites are when we make nature a part of your engagement session, and with this location we can definitely do that!

Roxborough State Park

45 minutes from Denver, Roxborough State Park is filled with so much lush greenery and you still get those iconic Red Rocks in the background of your photos! The rocks are insane and gorgeous pretty much all year round. This spot is the perfect place for the adventure feel that you’re craving!

Chautauqua Park in Boulder

About 30-45 minutes away from Denver, the views at Chautauqua Park are so magical. The Flatirons in the background add such a unique touch along with the gorgeous high grasses you can frolic in! And to top it off, during certain parts of the year, there are beautiful blooms of floral in the fields! Seriously so gorgeous and no matter where you are here, you get epic views!

Echo Lake Park

Want to add some water to your photos? No problem! Echo Lake is a gorgeous location about an hour from Denver. This location has everything all in one! Mountains, beautiful trees, and the lake. Seriously a one-stop location if you are looking for the feel of a multiple-location engagement session but don’t want to travel far distances to accomplish that!

Flatirons Vista in Boulder

A simple yet stunning location for your engagement photos and only 40 minutes from Denver. This trailhead has gorgeous wheat field that will add a stunning touch to your spring or summer engagement photos! This location has a VERY similar view to Chautauqua! I find Flatirons Vista the perfect alternative for Chautauqua and it’s typically way less crowded!

Golden, CO

At only 25 minutes from Denver (you can’t beat that!) Golden is filled with stunning panoramic views and has easy hikes that make your engagement session a breeze. Plus, you can bring your pups here too!!
